Default Charging port

Have they fixed the issue with the charging port? i.e. To flimsy,easily breaking not letting Thinkpad charge?

they usually break from abuse... it is a pretty damn small port for a big tabby...

it is not missusing the port that breaks them, its a design fault, because of this they will now replace it under the standard warranty, I think I saw on the lenovo forum that there has been a change in the design of the main board because of this defect, so once changed it should be fixed for good.

No. But lenovo is now replacing the motherboard in warranty when it fails.

I agree with the previous posting that a micro-usb port is just too small for a tablet this size. It's pretty cool for a small phone, though.

Whenever I plug into this port I ask myself how careful I have to be not to break it. mini USB oder standard USB would have been nicer..and the tablet's thickness allows for it.

Enoguh complained..have to live with it, yes? No options no replacable battery, so HANDLE WITH CARE.

I keep on assuring myself with the thought that the micro-usb on my htc phone did last for 2 years and that the thinkpad's usb-port can have the same potential if treated 'respectfully'...
