The sgp phone case didn't need modding. The Korean battery cover needs its tabs modified but the battery has nfc. The euro i900 kit battery cover doesn't need modding but the battery doesn't have nfc and may cause boot loops.
EDIT: Apparently, at least some International version covers do need modding for the ATT i777.

Also by 'Euro' version of SGSII, do you mean the standard/stock i9100 cover? I can just pick up a nice looking aftermarket i9100 case and it'll accommodate the larger battery? Thanks again.
2000mah battery + standard battery cover = no go.

The i9100 euro version battery cover does need modding because I just recieved mine today and it does not snap into place! I just can't figure out which tabs need to be cut

That stinks! I guess there are three different covers then if you didn't get the Korean cover by accident.

Have you tried matching it up with your original i777 back to identify the differences. I hear exacto knifes and dremels work well for the mods. Hopefully it is not too different. Let me know how it goes.

It would be really helpful if someone could post some pics illustrating some of the different covers or mods that you are doing to make it fit....

Well, all of the tabs align with the original cover but it seams as if the tabs are shorter on the sides of the extended euro version, like it can't reach deep enough to clasp onto the phone. On the original cover the tabs seam longer on the sides. I think this is a fail! There must be 3 different versions of this extended battery? I just hope that when I recieve my Korean version I will be able to mod the cover because on this current one I have I think modding will help!

That is weird. How big is the difference in tab length?

if euro version means the international version..then i have one. my cover did not need any modification at all. it snaps right in perfectly fine.

i have bought the international version kit non-nfc (model # eb-k1a2ebegstd). as mentioned in my post here, the cover snaps into place fine with no modification needed (pic here) however the battery causes reboot loops. i also bought the korean version kit (EB-K1A2EBSG) and the battery works fine with no reboot loop.

international cover tabs matches perfectly with the stock cover.

There is a thread in the i9000 thread where the steps are drawn out and illustrated to modify the Korean cover to fit the international version and since the international version cover fits our i777 versions, the thread (theoretically) should be able to be used for us too.

Personally, it's not rocket science - so I come at a more hands on approach.

Align the backing
See where it won't snap down
Mark which tabs need to be cut
Cut the tabs (dremel, hot wire, etc)
Smooth them out (sandpaper, razor blade, etc)
Attach
Get longer battery life
Be Happy
