If you look at their track record... I really wouldn't expect them to release the kernel source straight after. Even though the GPL states that it should be released within a certain time of the Official firmware release, there is no definite estimation.

GPLv2 Section 3:

So the source code should be available from whenever Samsung starts distributing their update. To put it another way, in order to distribute a compiled binary (of the kernel, in this case) they must also provide the source code in some form. Anything else is in violation of the GPL.

EDIT: I am aware that Samsung may not do this. My original question was what is Samsung's track record? Your response is rather vague. Do you have any specific examples? How were they with other kernels? (eg. GB for the I9100 or even their other phones)

noone hates codeworkx or the CM team.. of course we all appreciate what they have brought to our phone..
I do however, dislike bullies... especially the kind that hide behind their keyboard and in reality, if you met them in real life, the roles would most likely be reversed.

Now back on topic... who wants to make a bet when the next nightly build will be?

You have your answer some pages back. There is nothing new to add to cm9 lately due to the fact that CM team need Sammy sources in order to fix the remaining bugs. Basically, the nightly's are auto compiled every day and the newer version would be in this particular case identical to the previous one.
It would be best if people would read more and use the search function instead of asking the same question over and over again. I've been on xda for some time since I first had the g1 and in 99% of the cases I didn't have to ask anything because I always found an answer on the thread. And to make a comparison flashing the g1 is far more complicated than flashing the s2. Just read the instructions, follow the thread and when you bump into some issues use the search function. Less posting more reading
