I'm sure I'm missing something n00btastic or I've done something stupid, but I've gotten the 1-26 release flashed and gapps, phone boots up into cm9 but I have no mobile connection, when I check under available networks there is an error under both search networks & select automatically. WiFi also won't turn on. Anyone?

did not make a partition, did wipe cache, davlick, and factory reset prior to flashing
I recommend u, to do not make a wipe data/factory u lose your all datas, u can make a wipe partion; if not works, u must try the modem version in the 1st post of codeworks, one by one until u find ur goal.

Got phone signal?
IMEI known?
That wouldn't explain your lack of WiFi however, and a modem won't fix WiFi either.
