I see. Bell's Optimus LTE has only 2gb of internal storage while AT&T's Nitro HD has 4gb, is that right?

Actually, this is not correct. The only thing different about the phones is the rom and the external branding. They both have 4gb internal memory, but only 2gb is accessible to the user in both phones. You get nothing extra by purchasing the nitro. AT&T is just more sleazy in how they advertise the phone.

Thanks for the info. Are the rooting instructions the same for the Nitro and Bell's Optimus LTE?

Should be. Just put into adb, have the drivers installed, and use superoneclick or DoomLord.

Default rooting

Superoneclick worked well for me and my Optimus LTE.

But for the price they're asking (plus shipping) you'd be better off going down to the store and just buying one. -- mind you I suppose depending where you are geographically.

In Canada I know they go for 550$ from the bell retailers.
I'm sure in the land of everything cheaper (USA) they're well.. probably not as pricey

I'm still baffled as to why americans pay less than us for so many products. I suppose we are suckers.

Retailers always rub it in though.

CDN: 20.99 USA: 12.99 right on the price tag.

I thought it was because canadian dollars were worth less than USD.

we have been on par (+/- a few cents) for years.
Latest USD-CAD rates:
2012-01-12 2012-01-13
1 USD noon 1.0198 CAD 1.0245 CAD
1 USD closing 1.0183 CAD 1.0227 CAD
1 CAD noon 0.9806 USD 0.9761 USD
1 CAD closing 0.9820 USD 0.9778 USD

For difference in price that we pay, it doesn't add up.
Lets look at fuel.

Regular Gasoline Average Prices
USA Canada
Today 3.349 120.516
Yesterday 3.351 120.898
One Week ago 3.337 120.023
One Month ago 3.271 117.616
One Year ago 3.077 112.038

Thats per Gallon and per Litre.
Lets take the 120/l to per Gal (3.89L = 1GAL) that's 4.668 a GAL.

And all the crude comes from my province that the americans seem to be opposed to "DIRTY OIL"

All good really.. We conform! :P

@keenz: Even though the Bitumen comes from Alberta, it still gets sent down to Texas for refining and comes back up once that's done. This is why we get taxed extra for our gas, even though we are generating it.
