Same here. I upgraded from my tweaked out CM6 G1 to the Razr and would like to see CM on my phone again. Glad the Razr is great without it but would be tops with CM!

To run a full AOSP rom (ie CM) you need an unlocked bootloader and custom kernal, we will see roms that are close, but not a "true" CM build.

If the bootloader does get unlocked, I think it is likely we will see one.

EDIT: apparently I'm wrong here, thought that was the big deal with locked bootloaders, couldn't run a custom kernal, and I thought I saw somewhere that it was necessary for "true" AOSP roms.

Yep. My friend has the X and he is running miui and cm7 and his bootloader is still locked. Lol. I'm not a huge flasher but if the razr gets miui I will be very happy.

To echo what's above, that's completely wrong.

Also, the D2G has a locked bootloader, and already has a very early "alpha" version of CM9 running on it.

I also believe (don't know 100%) but I think Th3ory's alpha ICS build was somewhat gleamed off of the CM9 base codes.....Again not 100% sure, but thought I saw that mentioned on his twitter account.

I will bet you'll get someone porting CM9 soon. Remember, CM9 hasn't even been "officially" ported to any device as of yet, and should be ready for full consumption in February, based on what they've stated on the website. So while there are some dev's who are already releasing their "alpha's" you're going to see a lot more people jump in once an official port is made available, because then they can Fork some of the trees, and development becomes that much easier.

Sorry for the bad info, I had read that in a few of the lockded bootloader threads, and thought I saw something somewhere pretty trustworthy. I'd love to see it happen though!
