Touchscreen issues

I picked up my tablet from by desk this afternoon and the touchscreen stopped working. It does not respond to at all. I have rebooted it both via the power button and the reset bottom on the bottom of the tab.

One thing I have learned is the process on you tube where you set the rotation lock on and power up while holding the volmue + button does not work to do a hard reset. The button on the bottom only does a soft reboot.

I tried to re-flash the 3.2.1 firmware as well. I am currently waiting on a chat session with support. Boy does this suck, I may have to take back my old nook color from my daughter to hold me over until I get this fixed.

me: The screen is not taking any touches. when I hit the home button the screen brightness comes back up. I can connect to it from my computer and see the data, also adb works.
