There is a touch sensor attached to your screen. That sensor is what makes your touches on the screen register so the kernel mod stops supplying power to that sensor when the screen is off. Normally it continues to draw a current. Hot plug kernel is just that only shuts off CPU on sleep the hot plug feature lets you add that benefit to other kernels. Only downside is it relies on screen off so there may be wake lag.

The system turns the chip on standby mode when toggled off. So it draws a small current. With this mod it completely powers off the chip.

So the GPU clock and voltage is stock in the Milestone 2 and overclocked and overvolted in this ?

Does GPU overclock make the UI smoother ? I'm not concerned about game performance, as I rarely play any.

In day to day use it is hard to really notice. But, yes, it does provide some UI fluidity .

I was running M2 with really good results and thought I'd flash the latest nightly. Whoa. Ran into lag and crazy screen transition issues, so I flashed back to M2. Maybe I should've given it more time?

yes it does, until every 5-10 seconds when the screen will freeze for a few seconds due to GPU flipping its **** from being overclocked too far.

* Patch for hotplugging stability - don't touch cpusets during suspend/resume
* Patch for hotplugging stability - don't touch mpu and core states until CPU1 is offline
* Ondemand is now the default again, I removed it by mistake on the last build
* Change LOAD_FREQ from 5s to 4,61s to avoid loadavg Moire

I agree. The GPU needs to be reverted back to a slower clock speed. I paid for the app and haven't been able to use the nightly's since around r86 or so. Please at least put the GPU options back in the app if you are going to overclock the GPU. We might be the minority with "inferior hardware" but there are a handful of us who are not able to enjoy your hard work Francisco.

Milestone 2 is with stock GPU. I already said I removed it from the app because I removed live gpu from the kernel...

Would those that are undervolting mind sharing your voltage settings for your 1036 and 729 CPU states? I've been running 1075mV and 1000mV, respectively, for forever but after being on Gummy 0.9.0 for a day I had a SOD and a reboot that reset all of my performance settings to default.

I'm on M2 and I never had this issue on Crossbreed but I like to save battery any way possible.
