(SYSTEM MOD) Enable init.d scripts (supercharger v6 etc etc)
I was looking through the Arc development section and came across these threads by iridaki, now the first thread is instructions on how to create and enable init.d scripts, to enable you to run stuff like Supercharger v6
Now firstly I am running the following
ST18i
4.0.2.A.0.42
Rooted and Unlocked B/L
Samsung Galaxy theme
Firstly what I did was follow this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1405590
Once you have followed the guide and flashed the file you will find there won't be the file test file in data/local/tmp now I will try to find out why BUT I continued the process and ran this script
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
after running this script it created a file in the init.d folder called 99supercharger
Now once this had been done I followed this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1275233
to test if the script was working, and it works!!!
Please thank all the original threads detailed above
After doing this my quadrant increased slightly but the overall smoothness of the phone had improved.
For information when I ran the supercharger script I selected aggressive 1 settings from the selection
I will try to help as much as I can in regards to how to get this running on the Ray, but for questions relating to the script please ask on their thread
For anyone having problems remember to set permissions correctly see post 5 by hansip87
Don't forget to change permission of install-recovery.sh to rwxr-xr-x that is the issue that makes the 99Test
Credit to
iridaki for sharing this on the arc thread
zeppelinrox for the supercharger v6 script
Doomlord for all his hard work
hansip87for testing and resolving permission issue
Xperia T
Running: Stock
IF I HELP PLEASE USE THE THANKS BUTTON

Hi bro, i already do your step by step there, the SuperCharger does works AFAICT but i still don't know whether the init.d works or not by the start of the phone. So with the 99test does not work, how can we be convinced that content of init.d folder will be run? any new info you can share? Thx.
Locked BL and stock ROM, ZergRush Root.

Yup with script manager, I run the supercharger with root access, and it worked to display kernel.panic etc. No warning. And as far as I understand the script, it will put a value to parameter file in sys folder from data folder as selected in supercharger setup. But when I restart, the parameter file is reverted back, meaning that the init.d does not work, but supercharger does, only must be called manually from script manager.
Hope you understand. Might be related to why ray and arc s get ics the same time, but arc doesn't, because of different boot system.

No no that's not what i meant.. Let me explain this a bit:
1. the link from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
is to setup a supercharger on the phone right?
2. the link from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1275233
only to test if the 99supercharger generated by supercharger script working or not, right?
3. But the first mod you get from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1405590 you said that the 99test did not generate the log file after you flashed it from cwm, right?
That means the current condition on your phone & mine is:
1. The init.d automatic startup exec is not working
2. Supercharger has been setup to the phone, It is running by itself, i can see that; but is not loaded with user spesific value from Supercharger setup, due to point 1 above.
Note:
Have you still got 99test inside /system/etc/init.d? please run it with Script Manager with Superuser privilege and the log file will be generated by Script Manager. But now delete the log file and restart. Will it generated by iridaki startup mod? With mine, it's not.
So.. With the current condition, there is a workaround actually. Use Script Manager to run 99Supercharger at boot with SuperUser privilege. Now we're talking..

to OP, i think i have found the problem why there's no /data/local/temp/log_test.txt. Because we forgot to change permission of install-recovery.sh to rwxr-xr-x. Now the script runs automatically on my phone. Please acknowledge and clarifiy the issue on the first post please.
