I just edit the zImage in hex, replacing value 1220A0 into 171240, Big endian.

the CPU still runs at 1188000 (0x1220A0) and cannot change the value in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/scaling_max_freq

Maybe somewhere needs to unlock the freq or not in boot.image or the zImage, or needs to unpack the zImage? Something needs to tweak? I have no any idea...

Or this is a test build, the kerenl's 1188000 just mean when freq not set, use this default freq?

Is it possible to get temperature of the CPU support? I had it via system tuner pro in the GB ROMs, but not in the ICS Roms. Its nice to see how hot the CPU is getting with all the new excitement! :)

Did you release it or not yet, as I can't see any download link?

As always, no download link is a good sign that what you're looking for hasn't been released yet...
Since the 4.0.3 based roms popped up just a few hours ago, I'd imagine the new kernel needs some more internal testing, before posting on the internet...

Because if something goes wrong and you skip the testing procedure, this thread is gonna have 20 pages of "DUDE BRICKED MY PHONE!!!!" spam :P

a kernel can't brick a phone but internal testing is necessary for the end-user

i tryed 4.0.1 Kernel with cpu@1.5ghz and gpu@320mhz and GTA III is running smooth as Galaxy S2 but phone was very very hot (50/60 Celsius), but no stability issue, i played half hour

@SebastianFM: in new kernel HTC changed gpu freq scaling method and the code is different, or they just added a new check about Sensation type (XE or not)

In kernel for Android Android 4.0.1 GPU OC works correctly, I had 36.6 fps on stock frequency and 40 fps when GPU in 3D mode was OC'ed to 320 MHz.
In kernel for Android Android 4.0.3 probably something was changed in clock-8x60.c code or GPU driver, because when I change frequency values and clocks then kernel doesn't boot or doesn't increase GPU frequency.
