Default [ROM][CDMA][01.02.2012] Stock VZW 6.11.748.XT912 (OTA) Rooted and Flashable

DISCLAIMER: PLEASE FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK. ALTHOUGH FASTBOOT IS AVAILABLE, YOU CAN STILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE. YOU WERE WARNED. INSTALL SAFESTRAP BEFORE PROCEEDING. INSTRUCTIONS HERE: http://hash-of-codes.blogspot.com/p/...safestrap.html

This is the OTA Verizon CDMA Razr version 6.11.748. This is the system partition only (preinstall/data not included. Sorry, no 128mb let's golf or whatever). No kernel/boot.img. This will not update your radio or webtop. It will not change any partition except 'System'.

THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR NON-VERIZON NON-US RAZR's.

Features:
  • Stock - not debloated - does include bloatware and is NOT de-odexed
  • Rooted with Superuser installed
  • Works pre or post OTA upgrade - will work with original radio
  • Does not wipe data - though I always recommend it

Instructions:
  1. Only flash if you are using Safestrap - info can be found here: http://hash-of-codes.blogspot.com/p/...safestrap.html
  2. Download and copy to your SD card
  3. Reboot into Safestrap Recovery
  4. Make sure safe system is enabled
  5. (recommended) Factory Reset - Format data and cache
  6. Install from SD Card
  7. Restart

is safe strap really needed? And any reason why all the root kits for the Razr sound scary as hell compared to the other phones? Is the bootloader that horrible on this device that rooting could really go that wrong?

Basically, you're dual booting and not touching your main system. Which is great if you're familiar with flashing something and having a catastrophic failure.

It's not required but I see no reason to do it any other way.
