You can flash a stock rooted rom with bloat removed. Pirateghost and Wildchild both have roms that would do this.

I have asked for help and have yet to get a response. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE somebody help. I am trying to root my phone. I got the Hansoon 2000's HTC Vivid all-in-one root kit and have worked through steps 1 through 5. Simple enough, but on step 5 "Unlock Bootloader" I get an error message saying: cannot load 'Unlock_code.bin'. I have double checked the unlock code that was emailed to me from HTCdev and made sure it is in the correct file. I am at a lose. Can someone PLEASE give me some advice? I have attached the Unlock code and some screen shots if it will help. Thank you

Try doing it without using the all in one kit and follow the instructions in the Super guide thread. Also that wasn't your unlock code (not that it'd matter if you gave it to us cause we can't do anything with it) you uploaded but a txt file clearly stating what folder you should place your unlock code at. I believe at this time you need to stop, take a step back, and make sure you actually know what your doing before messing with your phone.

For what it's worth, I used Juice Defender Ultimate on my old gingerbread phone (wildfire), and it worked well there to save battery. However on ICS/Velocity, it seems to have no positive effect for me, and even seems to reduce battery life. It might be because of the additional overhead apps use when they can't get some of the access they expect, or it might be because forcing sync via JD default 'balanced' profile ultimately increases radio use frequency, or it may just be something for my phone.

The three less known things I do to get excellent battery life are the lower autobrightness mod, using DroidWall as a firewall to disable internet access to apps that really don't require it, and finally check partial wakelocks as it's likely Google Backup Sync is keeping your device awake for no reason.

I tried the all in one. Immediately soft clayed, or soft bricked it.
I would use the htcdev.com method Mentioned in superguide, read, read, read. Search for acronyms. There is a list of definitions. You are going to need them. The people here at xda are really helpful, even more so if you search before you ask.
Good luck!

Make sure your unlockcode.bin isnt unlockcode(1).bin or unlockcode(2).bin you might have copied it or downloaded it z few times if it does just erase the extra and place the file just in the data folder of the toolkit and the toolkit will find it.
