try deleting bluetooth.apk, worked for me and a few others.

But i need bluetooth:(
Flight mode on and off and it works for a while

You can wipe cache from inside of the Root Tools app, but it may require a reboot to take effect. Most of those things do.

Awesome, this worked like a charm. I should have known this was because I've always insisted on having a brightness toggle that only goes to 10% and 100%. Considering how important automation is, I should have embraced auto brightness ages ago and I would have never had this problem. I had a lot of fun tweaking these numbers to my own specs. It's no fun that the keyboard and button lights aren't adjustable (they are either on or off, regardless of the value you assign) but oh well.

I've figured out most of these options, but can't seem to figure out what these three do:

- Screen Dim Level: brightness used to dim the screen
- Allow light decrease: enable to allow lights to decrease. Use hysteresis to reduce flicker.
- Decrease hysteresis: sensor levels overlap this much downwards

who knows what they do?

Two bugs/annoyances:

1. I used to have my contacts displayed with facebook photos on my other phones, now they are just blank default pictures. I currently have my contacts in the dialer only displaying my actual "contacts", i.e. people I can see myself ever phoning, even though there are plenty of undisplayed "contacts" in the people app, like celebrities I follow on Twitter and people I 'know' on facebook but don't talk to on the phone. I noticed today that they all have pictures in their contact page on my phone in the "people" app. Literally the only contacts who don't have pictures feeding to them, are my actual "contacts". only one does, and that's because I also follow him on Twitter. What could be causing this weird selectiveness in the display of contact photos?

2. A lot of times I open the hardware keyboard and start to type, but my key presses just open apps. "M", for example, opens messaging. It's like there's some sort of function key held in, but there is no such key that I'm aware of. the Alt key isn't doing it. other hardware keyboards have done stuff like this to me in the past, but a few taps of the supposed stuck function button would solve it. I have no idea which way to go here. In these cases I think only a reboot has fixed it.

2.5. Not a big deal, but half the time the power widget displays 6 widgets at a time, and the other half of the time it seems to space them out more, only fitting four on the screen.

This app works pretty well for adding Facebook contact photos to your phone contacts in ICS. Also can add Facebook birthdays to your calendar, which is a plus.

so is this a known issue in ICS, and that's why an app exists specifically for it?
