Lol the changelog is extremely descriptive. If you want actual feature changes just go to aokp.co and look at that. Our nightlies are updated within a day or two of their release. Just remember we dont have hw codecs so those features wont be on ours

Wow im done this is cm9
Just go to rombot and click the changelog link

For XT860 users, here is a bit updated build.prop - you still need the libmoto_ril.so from the ICS patch

Lol, agreed! Unfortunately, I'm fed up with Moto. The only thing they have over the competition is build quality, and I'm ready to sacrifice that in the pursuit of a better overall experience. My next phone will be a Nexus (whatever is planned after the GNex)...I just hate having to wait to use my phone the way I want it... between xda and Droidhive, the D3 has a better development team than Moto does, apparently! Hashcode and company are the only reason my D3 isn't sitting at the bottom of a lake somewhere, lol.

My rule of thumb is; if you find a nightly that works for you, don't bother upgrading, until a major change comes along. I was using the 3-30 build of AOKP until Milestone 5 was integrated...then I flashed the 4-30 build, and everything's fine. If it's not broken, don't try to fix it.

I completely agree with this, I have been on the April 17th CM9 build and have had no need to upgrade and probably won't until something significant is updated.

Match 20th is a bit old (probably still on the 4.0.3 base), and I'm sure a ton of new things have been added since then....I would suggest an update, but check the changelogs for relevant information, and look for info on bugs, so you know what to expect. If the 3-20 build is working perfectly for you, make a backup, so you can go back to it if you're not happy with newer builds.

I see that according to Hash's twitter, vendor proprietary files have been updated. Exactly what does this mean for the rom?

It depends really... the files may be libs, or other files that were missing, and could have been affecting performance (so you could see some noticeable difference), or they could be files that the end user will/would never know are/were in place. Make a backup, flash it, and see how you like the new build.

Alright, sounds good. I will flash it when I get a chance. Thanks!

In this case, I took the updated files from the official soak test (906) and pushed them up so that they are used in the D3 cm/aokp builds.

Jhiza has the right of it, sometimes you'll see minor improvements here and there. Will need some input as to how much of a difference the new binaries make.

NOTE: CM9 has added back in the theme system, and I merged that into last nights build as well. And updated the CM release tools -- flashing zips now tries to keep your gapps in place. So from the 5/7 build on, if you have gapps installed and don't need to update them, then don't re-flash gapps after flashing the rom.zip. THIS IS ONLY A CHANGE FOR CM9.
