How long did you wait? Some ROMs take a long time on first boot...

Using bootstrap, wiped data/cache/dalvik. Installed zip/reboot. Gets stuck in moto logo.

It does indeed. I use it while testing the bootstrap version of Rocko.

Maybe ten minutes, and I know that's too long. The skinny4G rom boots up in like 2 minutes during the first boot.

Is there a stable 4g rom out yet? I would like to upgrade to a better rom than stock. Although you need more screen shots of the rom besides the two.

Try pulling the install script from skinny4g and put it in rocko4g(or whatever he calls it).
