Question [Q] Question about Bluetooth and Wi-Fi at the same time and GPS

Doesn't Asus have a responsibility to design a working product will all the features that it was intended to have? If it wasn't working as designed before launch they should have not released the product.

It seems like such a simple thing that GPS will not work through aluminum, so how did the design get this far without an engineer saying wait a second this won't work?

I can understand why some people would want to return the tablet for a full refund. They should have the right to do that.

I can also understand how a lot of people may not focus that much on GPS function.

I am also concerned about the fact that the Bluetooth will not work at the same time as Wi-Fi. What does that mean if you are playing a game online with a Bluetooth controller like the one from Gamestop or a PS3 controller?

A "visionary" CEO who doesn't listen to his engineers and won't accept no for an answer would be my guess.

Christmas will never be the same again.
Good to know using bluetooth doesn't necessarily destroy use of internet.
After all the GPS fearmongering I got worried about yet another "ick" on the prime.

Will ICS fix any of this? Wi-Fi? Bluetooth? or GPS?

unlikely - most of the radio performance issues are due to hardware design and the aluminum used for the body. This blocks the signals and so only slight improvements can be made via SW tweaking...

I'm seriously going to have to do some testing, but so far, I have experienced no issues with wifi while my bluetooth's running... Like a brilliant end user, I left my charger at work unfortunately, so come monday, I'll be doing actual speed tests to see what's up, but I can honestly say, I have experienced no issues as far as my user experience goes.

As far as GSP goes, Seems fairly useless feature on a wifi-only tablet anyway to me personally... That's why I have a cell phone, no need to drain the battery on 2 devices as once for something like GSP/nav.
