Default Working CWM with rom for Ideapad K1 (Alpha 3.0) + more to come

I saw this over at Rootzwiki and felt that it needed to be brought over here:

http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13407-alp...ck-rooted-rom/

Changes: (version 2)
New App/Widget to reboot into recovery
All system files updated to the 111017 update
"adb remount" now works
Fixed su permissions
Android Terminal Emulator included
OI File Manager included
Optional downloads to restore Lenovo Market and/or Lenovo Status Bar

+more
All of the Stock .apks
Link to LeTools (Have to use this to ADB on Windows Vista/7. They have a built-in driver that I was unable to install over/past.)
Lenovo Update Zips

Because of the bootloader/kernel restrictions you must have an update.zip located in the "Download" dir in the internal storage to boot into recovery. This means if you can't boot the system, you can't move the update.zip in place, which makes "recovery" pretty difficult. But... the K1 doesn't have a recovery that's accessible in its current state anyways, so I don't see this as a negative.
The battery must be > 50% to boot to the recovery
Backup/Restore not currently working
If you make any changes to the boot.img, or modifications to the Settings apk's you will not be able to get back into the recovery without reflashing everything over again.
The Stock Rom
Already rooted with the latest version of Superuser.apk
Original Honeycomb status bar look (No Favorites Button)
Google Apps
build.prop changes to spoof Motorola Xoom (Was missing many apps from the market before, i.e. GTA III)
No Lenovo Market
Based off PQXU200.2H.0013.W.CN.0729.zip files (The only boot.img and or Settings apk's that allow booting to recovery)

So I've been doing some more experimenting and have found an intent that lets me boot to the recovery from the OS. I thought this would fix the issue with not being able to boot into the recovery with a newer build. Unfortunately it did not. I tried on the latest build and it gets to the "Booting to recovery..." but then just hangs. However it did allow me to update the rest of the system to the 111017 update while still being able to boot into recovery. I can also include a widget to reboot to recovery now. I will post an updated Rom shortly along with a few update.zip's for those who would like to restore the Lenovo apps, the Lenovo status bar (with favorites button), and the third party apps. Unfortunately until we get the source code I don't think we can get much further with the development. Once we do get the source code I will start trying to compile an ICS build for the device.

Nice.... this is progress... is this tablet still so new that no dev has been done on it yet or just so locked down?

Default Keep up the good work

I enjoy my K1, but the market limitations are killing me. So this is good news. Any idea if we root the device can we modify the build.prop to spoof the Xoom, will it allow the updated market to download?

Any root will allow you to modify the build.prop. All you need is a file explorer with text editing like Root Explorer or ES.

Correct, I've got the latest version rooted and with that you can do what you want with the market.

Does this method work with the thinkpad tablet? it seems like they are the same hardware and OS I would love to shed some of the bloat off of the rom.

Nope, the hardware is similar but they are not the same. The Xoom, Transformer, Streak, Iconia, etc all have essentially the same hardware but they have wild differences in how free they are for rooting/flashing.

There is currently no root method for the Thinkpad and given that it was billed as a "Business" device, Lenovo has a vested interest in keeping it locked down.
