Dear Boys and Girls as user of the Elegancia Roms Series,
It's a sad day for Elegancia.
Don't gonna discuss it in detail here.
But just had a 4hr Gtalk chat with m0narx in which i made a very personal decision.
I hate to give up, but i had to.
You all know that we use the Tweaks app for over 3 months now.
As said i had the permission to use the Sense 4 look app.
But there is a problem, m0narx decide to withdraw his permission.
And it's his word against mine although i have good arguments and backuped pm chats with him.
I could chat for another 4hr to prove i'm right.
But his is a never ending story.
There for i made a decision.
Since it's his word against mine.
And i want to be a happy Dev and not one who is constantly in a fight to prove i'm right.
I wanna cook for fun and not being in war every day.
So the next version of Elegancia - Sense 4.1 will be without the tweaks app.
m0narx withdrawed his permission and i take my loose.
As Elegancia can run perfect and nice without the Tweaks.
I can only say for now that it is a pitty we loose this one.
But i'm also happy to say that i don't have to fight and just can continue to be a happy dev and not a fighting one.

Performance:
Overall performance is faster depending on you configuration of course
But the rom is more battery efficient and stable.
Rom size reduced by 70mb
Beware of the following major Aroma change:
One major change you have to be aware of.
Normaly you select apps to install.
When applying future v5 or above incremental flashes apps which aint selected are now deleted.
This does not apply for a fresh install.

ODEXing has some advantages.
Most known ones are a faster rom, better app response and less memory footprint.
Disadvantages are longer boot time and harder to theme.
But you can ODEX Elegancia colored version on one condition.
You must have a fully running colored rom and then apply ODEXing.

Before flashing the rom make sure you read the changelog for your specific rom where Steve will state whether you need to perform a full wipe or not. If you install a rom using a different base from your current rom then a full wipe is recommended, but if it is listed as optional then it's your choice! However if a full wipe is not mandatory, you are still going to want to reboot into recovery and clean cache and clear dalvik cache before installing the new rom build. In addition if a full wipe is recommended and you did not do one and you are experiencing problems that other users are not reporting then please do a full wipe before reporting any problems.
Formatting your µSD card is always a must, to do so a nice tool is available permitting to optimize them. Using generic formatting utilities may result in less than optimal performance for your memory cards. Find it HERE. Don't forget to press rorycs' THANKS button!
After you install the rom, the first boot is going to take longer than normal (sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes). Similarly after you clear cache and dalvik, the reboot will take longer (likely not 10 minutes) but it will take longer than normal and you will see a message that Android is upgrading and all of your apps are being optimized.
It is recommended that you give any newly installed rom time to settle in to build caches and to allow system files to settle down.
After your device boots for the first time it is good to let it sit for 5-10 minutes before touching it (ie let it settle if you can). Once 5-10 minutes has passed pick it up and go through the setup procedure. Be sure to set up only email and google accounts at this time.
After setup is done click on Play Store and accept the terms. This will allow your device to populate all previously installed and backed up apps. Once all apps have been installed you should reboot your device, once rebooted you can then go ahead and setup any other accounts that you require.
To avoid getting blurry contact pictures you should log into your social networks through Friendstream. Sync all your contacts through social networks through Friendstream.
This is a good time to back up your new rom as all apps have been installed and your accounts setup. Restore your data/settings using EXT4 with restore Data from previous nandroid. But be aware that you need to go to Settings > Security > tick Unknown sources before restoring any data. Please be advised that you should never restore data from a different base ROM as this is likely to cause problems and lead to instability.
At this point you can reboot to recovery if you plan to add any themes or mods. It is recommended to take a nandroid backup before installing any mods and to install these to your device one at a time and reboot after each install to check their compatibility with the rom and the apps/mods you have already installed. This is also a good time to install a custom kernel if you wish.
Last but not least you are all set up and can now enjoy your new Elegancia ICS Rom!

The screenshot feature for ICS roms needs to be disabled in the /system/build.prop file. Edit the following line (use editor in ES Explorer): change ro.htc.framework.screencapture=true to ro.htc.framework.screencapture=false You will need to use the screenshot feature in APM (long press Power button) or else a 3rd party app like Drocap (available from the market) to take screenshots.
My sync. statusbar icon is always on

A) Try unchecking all auto sync options and after that do "sync all". Circle should be removed from statusbar.
B) Go under Accounts & Sync then click Facebook and uncheck "LIVE STREAM". That's what's keeping your sync icon on.
C) Friendstream should not be removed during the Aroma installation.
Go to Camera Settings and turn off the face detection.
I'm using Sense 4 V1.0... How to have quick settings into notification bar?

The solution is simple, click on your operator name when you pull down the notification bar.
I uninstalled SuperSu and actually lost Root!?

You can not uninstall SuperSu like an ordinary application, you should follow these exact procedure as stated HERE
SuperSU is force closing all the time, what should I do to fix this ?

You need to fix Permission to get rid of this issue. Just use 4EXT or LeeDroid Tweaks to do so.
How to have tether working with Sense 4?
___
It work but few glitches are still to be resolved. To have it worked, try this with the already cooked in 3rd party app named WiFi Tether. Open the program and click on Menu > Settings > in Device-Profile select Generic ICS > then select Change Setup-Method to WEXT (ad-hoc). It should work. You will have to reboot your phone if you close it to have it work again, this is the glitch about this method, but tether is working that way.
FIXED! THIS IS NO MORE REQUIRED IF YOU USE THE KERNEL INCLUDED WITH THE ROM, OTHERWISE THESE SETTINGS CAN BE HELPFUL.
I don't know how can I verify MD5 Checksum of a file?

Similarly after you clear cache and dalvik, the reboot will take longer (likely not 10 minutes) but it will take longer than normal and you will see a message that Android is upgrading and all of your apps are being optimized.
It is recommended that you give any newly installed rom time to settle in to build caches and to allow system files to settle down.
After your device boots for the first time it is good to let it sit for 5-10 minutes before touching it (ie let it settle if you can). Once 5-10 minutes has passed pick it up and go through the setup procedure. Be sure to set up only email and Google accounts at this time.
After setup is done click on Play Store and accept the terms. This will allow your device to populate all previously installed and backed up apps. Once all apps have been installed you should reboot your device, once rebooted you can then go ahead and setup any other accounts that you require.
To avoid getting blurry contact pictures you should log into your social networks through Friendstream. Sync all your contacts through social networks through Friendstream.
This is a good time to back up your new rom as all apps have been installed and your accounts setup. Restore your data/settings using EXT4 with restore Data from previous nandroid. But be aware that you need to go to Settings > Security > tick Unknown sources before restoring any data. Please be advised that you should never restore data from a different base ROM as this is likely to cause problems and lead to instability.
At this point you can reboot to recovery if you plan to add any themes or mods. It is recommended to take a nandroid backup before installing any mods and to install these to your device one at a time and reboot after each install to check their compatibility with the rom and the apps/mods you have already installed. This is also a good time to install a custom kernel if you wish.
Last but not least you are all set up and can now enjoy your new Elegancia ICS Rom!

If you are coming from a stock rom there are many requirements, but first of all you need to S-off your device and you will also need a custom recovery....Look HERE for a guide on how to do this. Should your device have a newer hboot version (1.29.0000) then unfortunately this guide will not work and for now the only option available can be found HERE. Elegancia ROM's have the 4EXT custom recovery included, but for initial setup purposes please follow the guide.

The most likely problem is that you have not SuperCID'd your device before updating the firmware. You can find information on how to SuperCID your deviceHERE or look HERE for directions on how to flash the firmware if you prefer not to use SuperCID (thanks to Kohr-Ah). You may also find THIS POST useful! During the process your device will reboot a few times. Do not touch your device until instructed to do so. Once the instructions tell you to "reboot", remove your sd card and delete the PG58IMG.zip from the sd card on your PC or another device, then place sd card back into your device and THEN "reboot”.
I need to upgrade my firmware, where can I find the newest firmware?

Generally Steve will provide a link as to where to find the newest firmware for the current build. If you already have the newest firmware then there is no need to upgrade. If you are coming from a GB rom or an old version of ICS (older base) then read HERE and look HERE for firmware packages.

It has to do with the Paginated/Non paginated tweak.
The following usually solves this issue :
1) Go to Leedroid Tweaks and select Sense/appdraw then select non paginated. Restart and select back paginated.
Otherwise, try the list it should work :

Everything is perfect, but my Wifi doesn't work, what should I do?

Dial *#94349# and press the call button, that will change your Wifi Region as it seems ICS Roms can have problems with some Wifi Regions.
Flashing another kernel after flashing the Rom can also help to solve this issue.

MANY users have reported that their Wifi came back to normal behaviour after having reflashed the 3.32 firmware posted HERE. So the advice is to flash the firmware again to see if that will address your problem.
My Clock / Weather App only shows my country and not my current location, why?

Go to Settings > Apps > All and try clearing data for Clock Widget, Google Maps, Weather, HTC Weather Sync provider and Weather Provider.
Finally, refresh the widget and hopefully that will solve your problem.

Yes, you should ALWAYS backup your rom and data before any changes. A good idea is to back up all your data and settings from the phone before flashing a new ROM with a full wipe as well. There are two ways to do this. You can use Titanium backup (or similar app) or do a Nandroid backup. Titanium can be found on the market (Play Store). Nandroid is when you back up from inside the recovery. Nandoid will give you an exact image of your rom, I prefer this method. You can also restore just data for when you full wipe to reapply all your settings as they were. Have a look HERE.
I have small MMS or I can't send MMS or SMS?

First thing to do is to check your APN settings.... Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. You can find many APN's settings HERE. If you are a T-mobile user look HERE! Go to Spare Parts (included in the rom) and disable All animations.

The location of the bootanimation and downanimation changed for this release there is only one location for 3.6 -> system/customize/resource and change the security to rw/r/r. Use ES File Explorer or Root Explorer. Replace the bootanimation.zip file with the one you want. Rename the new file to bootanimation.zip, change permissions to the same settings as the original file and reboot!
How can I overclock my device?

I don't recommend to OC your device, keep it as it is, don't install any application to control or OC, it will create more problems than anything else !
If you do decide to OC the use of System Tuner Pro or System Tuner can be used to OC. This app also supports dual core processors. AnTuTu can also be used to OC!

How do I flash FULL Wipe or SuperWipe and what does it erase?

Copy the Superwipe.zip to the SD Card and flash it via recovery. DO NOT REBOOT, recovery will reboot itself once it is done cleaning. Once it reboots, flash the ROM immediately. The FULL Wipe will erase data, cache, system and format in EXT4 partition. Super Wipe will erase data, cache, system, boot and system files on SD card (EXT4 again). You can also use the full wipe option in the new aroma installer! You can find SuperWipe HERE and FULL Wipe HERE.
Help! I have high battery drain!?

If you just installed the ROM let it settle for a while system is still building. Give the ROM a couple of battery charge/discharge cycles. If after a couple of days you still see a large amount of drain check your settings and apps to see what's causing the drain. There are several apps on the market that can aid you in this.
How do I install non Google Play Market apps, also I don't see a tick box for allowing install of non-market apps?

For some reason this needs to be ticked before restoring data right after initial rom setup. Go to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources once this is ticked it will stay in the menu!
