These are kernel modules (drivers) that allow your Transformer to support extended features. The tun module is used to open ipsec VPN tunnels that many corporate VPN concentrators require and the cifs module allows you to mount Windows/Samba network file systems locally (among other less common network file systems).

Hate to bother but for us more ignant users can you give a quick 1-2 on how to install this driver?

Using a root explorer with system mounted R/W place the module in /system/lib/modules then run 'insmod /system/lib/modules/<module.ko>' from term or adb shell
