I'm quite puzzled by Motorola's lack of vision in unifying apps compatibility across it's range.
The fact that Xoom apps don't work outside of the US on MZ60x 's is just plain rude considering it has nothing to do with carrier/location/hardware limitations.
The Razr/Bionic/Atrix 2 have some great apps and should be available to all.
Something that intrigues me are both the SmartActions and MOTOCHAT.
A possible rival to RIM'S BBM should be a major deal and available on ALL MOTOs (along with motoprint, blur, etc).
As us outside the US are given almost no heed, I was wondering if any kind and enterprising souls could post all Motorola Mobility apks here.
Thanks for listening.
It's so they can produce incremental hardware upgrades while implementing in-demand software on each release, hence justifying (to themselves anyways) for overcharging consumers.

I've looked into porting SmartActions a few times and each time it just took me deeper and deeper into the Razr system only to end with bootloops. I really don't understand why we have 2.3.6 builds but they don't have the new Blur or SAs. I think it comes down to a lack interest by Moto. I kind of feel like our 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 builds were done built some employees free time, or while they were supposed to be doing something else.
That said, I'm very doubtful we'll see ICS. (Please don't turn this into an ICS thread)
I'll undoubtedly keep trying to get the new new Blur and SAs ported to our device, but that's probably because I crave disappointment.

Nottach, I'm highly programming illiterate,so I highly value any effort done by people like you.
It's sad that a device like the Atrix (with it's very current hardware) is now treated like a naughty stepchild despite it's flagship status 5 months ago and CES heroics.
Even the latest Kal-el SoC has just 1GB of RAM despite the quad cores, so even the most processor intensive apps should be covered.
And that's why Apple does so well.
Google/carriers/manufacturers need to keep promises and buck up.
And this is another thing that disheartens me. There's no doubt that Motorola does have some "bright" developers/engineers working for them but it seems that their main goal is to fragment their own ecosystem in an effort to persuade people into upgrading their devices at a higher rate while trying to confine you into their structure. Which can be said for pretty much anyone else like Apple and Microsoft but I feel Motorola does it more blatantly to the point where its more detrimental to the consumer rather than an inconvenience.

I'm starting to believe that Moto is merely a trend setter in this department. Samsung and HTC products refresh so quickly in Asia that 6 months seem to be the upgrade cycle (in a region where carriers offer no subsidies).
On a sidenote, how do I post apps via mobile/xda premium on threads? I want to start the ball rolling!
Here are a few Moto-apps (free,Android Market, modified for ALL DEVICES)
that may not be available to all countries.
The MOTOprint app is an earlier, free version.
I had nothing to do with these, just publicly available.
vlingo was not available outside the US.
Other apps not on worldwide Atrix's (MB/ME860) were Zumocast(!!!),
MotoLounge(Australia only) and Moto PIM sync.
Even the Webtop app is different!
As, usual,I had nothing to do with this attached app, just publicly available.
I apologize if I've derailed the point of your thread, sometimes I get all "99%" without realizing it. This is definitely a good topic and I hope more people look into making these apps/services cross-compatible.

No worries, i've been guilty of that in the past as well.
I've posted some cross-compatible apks for those who may not have 'em/
flashed their mobiles.
Here's a Zumocast that works well with my Archos 70S and Motorola MB511
Flipout and A855 Milestone/Droid.
