Yes you can. I flashed the 3.4.3-36-1.7 SEA15 myself, is the last Froyo released. Its working fine for me so far!

I am a bit confused here , installed froyo build from Eppy just today.. I rechecked the web Portal a few minutes ago and .. no defy build but i can see a Defy Plus build..

I guess he removed it. It had few issues and the previous one was better than this so he removed the link i guess

Hey Buddy,

To solve the SMS issue just flash nightly (doesn't matter if full wipe or not) After that go into System settings>Personal>Backup & Restore>Factory Reset. Your device will start with SMS issue solved

I've tried other ways to get SMS sending work properly, but doesn't worked

PS: Don't forget to make backup app+data

I have posted an update to the solution that explaines why i had no 3G acces.
Although the issue might have been specific to my telephone service provider it could prove usefull to others too....check it out on :
