Default Testing...

[preps phone for testing]
(already pre-tested before release, but I'll test it again anyway)

Just a note to all followers, cross-compatibles are good news and very good news to anyone gsm or cdma who plans on porting. If you are keeping score there's cross-compatible kernel and a cross-compatible recovery [alquez's]. That's huge if we get some handshakes/ports with the gsm guys one day I know they've helped along the way a great deal. We just got to catch up to euro [at least]; and, this [simonsimon34's kernel] of course is a wonderful help; maybe very well the key to full functionality [for euro port]. Not going to get to look at marvelUSc euro port until Mon though had to switch out workstations [rebuilding environment and some old tools too]. 2.3.5 we're coming...

Running it now. Quite nice. Dusted off the ole set cpu & set a couple profiles up.

I set the main to 800 max 480 min ondemand set at boot.
Temp > 104F 680 max 480 min conservative priority 100
(My wfs is in a case and I get paranoid about overheating; this forces it to normal range when your battery heats up)
Screen off 580 max 480 min conservative priority 90
(This saves some battery when screen is off w/o borking your running processes)

Running Great!

Rob

I set my cpu 700 max and 480 min on demand, does that seem safe to you?

Sounds low, but I use the antutu one. I'm 1274 without any mods [could tweak sdcard read speed, memory mgmt, etc but I didn't] . If you set your max down a notch ie 700 vs 800 on the main setting, it's paranoid safe [more conservative than me] and you will get lower benches [I'm a master of common sense ].

Default should be reasonably safe

Yeah I ran it all night with 800 max with no ill-effects.

If you bump up 680 [stock max] to 700, you don't see near the improvement you'd get at 800 is a better way of putting it.
