Why would you want to play 720p video is your screen is only 480p?

The title of the thread is a bit confusing.

We talk about youtube videos in 720p. I can view 480p without lags, but 720p is like a fast diashow.

i can even play 1080p videos using mxplayer pro. cm7 latest temasek kang, stock cm7 kernel. you better try it.

No problem here with Dolphin, no oc, -50mV UV.

Hello!

I can play 720p videos in the browser window (tested CM standard, Dolphin HD 7.3.0, Opera 11.50) - but switching to full screen only worked with cm standard browser - video was distorted with the other browsers.
...may be because of 32MB ramhack. I will test a 00 ramhack build from vodonka later...

For testing I used the Avenger Trailer HD.

BTW: Playing HD videos with moboplayer works also flawlessly - and yes output over HDMI is ok too...
