Default [Q] Used AAHK - and have some questions ;)

Hey mates
I'm using my phone since 1 year now and I'm still pretty happy with it.
I made a contract with myself, that I won't touch my phone's SW as long as warranty's on it
So far, it's out of an business and not private plan from T-Mobile, so my warrany is over. :P

Today I used Advanced Ace Hack Kit (AAHK) - It's really amazing how they simplified the whole procedure.
Now my questions:
AAHK: It S-Offed my phone, rooted it and installed CM7 - right?
I already played with some Rootapps like Drocap, Adfree, etc. and they all work fine.

- I also tried to uninstall some system apps via the android settings - that didnt work, in fact I could only uninstall updates - EDIT: Worked with Titanum Backup

- When the time's right (seems to be soon ), I'm gonna swap the ROM. Since CM7 is installed, I can just flash the ROM via the ZIP-method - right?
Any other updates via zip-method as well I think - for example the bootanimation?

- Before changing to another ROM I'd like to backup all data (in fact: apps (and their settings); android settings; accounts (facebook, google, ...); SMS - calendar and contacts is not that important, because I'm syncing it with google servers) - Which app would be best for it?

- I'd like to test the new 2.3.5 official ROM with Sense 3.0 - Where can I find a suitable "version" for me? (because using the RUU would AFAIK brick/fail my phone because it's originially t-mobile branded)

I think that's all so far - thanks for your help

You just use cwm recovery or 4ext to flash roms. Titanium backup is a good program to back up your data. Look through the desire hd thread for a Rom you like. They can all be flashed via recovery.

One More question:
I'd like to flash a new radio via fastboot. Is that possible after using AAHK?

EDIT: it should be possible to Flash the radio via AAHK itself, right? Which method would be "better"?

Flashing a radio is done either from recovery (ClockworkMod) or indeed in the script from AAHK. I find CWM easier, there shouldn't be a difference. With CWM you don't need a computer around to flash the radio

You can not flash radios through cwm. Use a pd98img or fastboot. Aahk sometimes encounters issues with flashing radios. The fastboot method only works with an eng s off fastboot. Pd98img is the easiest way. Just place on root of sd and boot into hboot. It will prompt you to install. Once finished remove pd98img from sd card.

Interesting, is this something DHD specific? On my Desire CWM could flash radios just fine.

As far as I know DHD and inspire both can't take radios through recovery. Fastboot is common for DHD and pd98img for inspire. You have to have engineering s off for fastboot method though which is more common with DHD. I don't own a DHD but I know for sure the inspire can't flash radios through recovery, just ril's.
