Question [Q] HTC TITAN hardware acceleration not working properly

Hi all,

I have an HTC TITAN and have found the hardware acceleration / graphics acceleration (at least for IE9) is not working properly.

On my old HD7 (which is doing the rounds of iPhone4 users to convert them ), I saw performance differences before and after Mango. The current performance of my TITAN in IE9 is much slower than the HD7 post-Mango.

I'm using the HTML5 Speed Reading test and getting 15 FPS, and 4FPS on the Particle Acceleration... (site won't allow me to post the links).

OS version is 7.10.8107.79 and firmware version 1600.2200.20201.708

Can a few people please test this and state model, OS, and firmware? I'm only assuming it's a firmware thing therefore TITAN related but it might be on other devices also.

Thanks!

PS. I searched the forums for the HTML5 tests and couldn't find them, no doubt people would have compared results already.

Err... I used the desktop one... strange there is such a massive difference (I view desktop sites by default). Getting 60 FPS from the mobile page.

I presume the only difference technically is the window size 1024x1378 in the desktop page vs. presumably native resolution in the mobile page.

Thanks for your help!

Oh and I just tested both in Chrome on my PC and got 9 FPS and 60 FPS (capped at 60 on everything I guess), so no complaints at all from the performance of the TITAN!
