Be sure that you move the files to your external SD, and when you are in recovery first flash the 1.0CWM. zip file then search your files

I did that but it doesnt work. Ive iven tried flashing some other kernels but dont work either some of them just stay on boot.

Weird, actually to the most of people doesn't work on 9.7, in 1.0 are not tested yet, maybe you could try, but do your backup before
