That black grid it's not part of the theme it's the default background of the ROM that's because can't be replaced, later i'm check if it's possible make a mod to change to the previous one

does the triangle away app work with rr 1.8 or rr 1.7?

1 - Use Root explorer, works like a charm

No problems installing. Went from a pretty newly wiped 1.7 with siyah 3.1.2 .. installed 1.8 over that, reinstalled siyah 3.1.2. Totally flawless!

The only thing I've noticed before if not doing a full wipe (went from 1.6 -->1.7) was the fact that the phone was awake far more often, so I decided that every rom installation I would do a full wipe.
Never had a battery problem after that.

Well, the basic instructions to install v1.8 it's with no wipe and no have problems, just if you want to do a full wipe then it's better wait
