Is there anything extra I need to do to get sdcard access working?

I am able to tell it to mount the sdcard, but it sits on "Checking for errors" for a couple minutes, then it's back to letting me try mounting again.

Any help is hugely appreciated, I'm leaving the country in a week and won't be back for 3 months. This is the last thing I need working before all of my tech things are in order.

Thanks!

You should mount the card on a pc and do a check disk, once the card is ok retry

What's a long period of sleep? Overnight?

I haven't seen any issues with wifi at all. I'm usually on 5 GHz, and rarely on 2.4 GHz so I can't comment much on that.

Phone: HTC One S, stock/rooted
Tablet: Xoom, Team EOS JB nightlies

He's saying he doesn't use wifi operating at 5GHz. Obviously.
