Unhappy wanna update to ICS Spice rom

I m running on stock 2.3.4 rom.. m rooted now.. m facing certain problems :

1. Dialer lags 2 to 3 seconds when i hit call button.
2. Ringtone sounds as if its a scratched disk.
3. When i slide for accepting a call the timer takes 2-3 secs to start.
4. Sometimes the phone goes dumb.. gives no sounds at all ; neither during call, music player ( stock, 3rd party ) , touch sounds, unlock sound. Nothing works.
5. Camera goes black n asks 2 " Turn on Hardware Mode ".

Only restarting the phone seems to help for a short span of time.

Now dt i m rooted, i want to upgrade to ICS Spice 2.3.4

Thumbs up New?

Hey Buddy...

I am assuming you are new to this device...Well read the XDA section for this device. There's lots of grt information and ROMS to try..

I am assuming you are on Spice Stock Gingerbread. First things first theres in no stable ICS Rom for this device. edowar has done a amazing job of porting the first Pre Alpha Cm9 build...but that's not completely functional...

details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1434219

As for what ROM you should try....Try Edowar CM7, TJ's MIUI, or MMACCs Maclite..

Or if you want to stick with Stock Wellcom A99 stock is the most stable...the New Stocl from Sharp has also got grt reviews...maybe you can try that...

You will find all threads and info in the device dev section.

Though be careful, as u rightly said you dont want a 4 inch brick....read carefully, ask questions....

More valuable info on Tj's Forum

Happy Flashing....

1. install. SUT LR 1.8.2 in your PC
2. rc1 ( .nb0) should be somewhere in your PC
3. put the phone on download mode ( volume up + power on) and connect it to PC via usb
4. run sut LR, see the notification ' a phone is connected, browse and select the rom (.nb0) file and click next and wait until flashing is completed. once completed click finish.
5. disconnect the phone and remove battery and then replace it back and switch on the phone.
6. for cwm recovery again go to download mode and replace the stock recovery with cwm recovery.
7. put rc2 in your SD card, go to recovery mode and flash rc2 (.zip)

if it is in .zip format then dont unzip it... just put it in the sd card and flash it via cwm...........steps 1. install zip from sd card 2. select zip from sd card 3. install zip.... thats all .. then install rc2 (same procedure)

did u flash rc1 using sut LR? if yes, you should have selected 'erase all user data ' which I forgot to mention.. (because of all the problems you have mentioned in your post) . if you have not selected the option, you should reflash the rom again selecting the 'erase all user data) ...

sorry i was away and was always late in replying.. if you dont face any problem then ok you need not to do that.... actually RC2 was by TJ Style( stable one)...
actually every time when you flash new rom it is always better to erase user data ... and if you flash via cwm wipe user data , cache and dalvik
