Beyond the 32gb limit: 64gb SanDisk microSDXC Card
A few weeks ago I took the plunge on a deal for a 64gb microSDXC card from BBuy thanks to Slickdeals for $100. Some users had reported the card worked on their android devices so I went forth and purchased it. I finally got my card yesterday and though my Inspired warned me of a "Damaged Card" upon mounting, a simple format on the phone solved that issue. It's larger than my previous (32GB class 10) card, with no hiccups or issues and seems to perform like a class 6 SDHC card, with the benefit of being reverted back to the class 6 SDXC format for faster speeds in future phones with SDXC support.
Bottom line: This card works with my rooted Inspire in SDHC mode. If HTC releases phones with SDXC support, you know this card will be reused again.

ROM: Android Revolution HD 6.1.5

Very useful post, thank you. I just bought a 32gb, now you made me want to get a 64 and tinker with it. $$$$$

Thank you for sharing; I have been wanting to get the max storage, and have been wondering if this would work. $100.00 sounds like great deal.

Thanks for the info. Just got a 32 gig card for my Inspire and had been wondering about a 64.
Thanks for sharing. Have you tried loading it completely full a few times to test reliability?
I filled it to 55GB only once and it's been that way for 2 1/2 days. No issues at all. Performance seems the same as before but every once in a blue moon it will take a little bit to do a search on files or scroll through a huge image folder (over 1000 images) but that's to be expected, since my old Class 10 PNY 32GB used to do the same when it was nearing full capacity. Playing MP3s or watching movies (MKV, DiVX, MP4s) didn't hiccup or lag. I will erase and refill the card to 100% a couple of times.
I am more than satisfied with this card, but I'm still testing it as it is. I was able to get a second 64GB card from BBuy before they ran out of stock at $99, and I don't know if I should FAT32 it to be used on a tiny USB drive reader or sell it.
I'll post any issues pertaining this card's usage.
Take care
if it isnt too much to ask. with an almost blank card could you create a zip file thats about that size, do an md5 of it, then move it to the card, md5 it again, and then transfer it back off and do another md5. just to check integrity?
