Actually the S7 has great battery life with a CPU manager.

I use SetCPU, and tell it to use 216mhz + powersaver when screen is off.

Hmm, I like that. I always thought the CPU apps were for overclock only so I have never used one. I will definitely have to check it out now
Want to thank me? Use this link and we both get 500 mb of dropbox space!

As has been stated MANY times.... The devs working on this have personal lives and of late that has been consuming their time.... They are just as interested in having it all working as any of us so be patient....

It's stated in the OP that 3/4g doesnt work, and hence SMS/MMS doesnt work as it requires the modem.

There's no way around it, you cant magically ask for them to work and have them work.
They dont work because they're not very important in respect to getting a working device.

The order of things that are fixed is entirely determined by DJ_Steve.
And the order itself depends on 3 things: how difficult it is, how important it is, and he feels about it.

Fact of the matter is that the radio isnt very important, many of own the wifi model anyway and dont have radios period.
The radio is also no small feat as they're basically computers in-of-themselves (they have their own dedicated cpu, ram and OS).

On a similar note, that's also why the camera doesnt work: the camera interfaces changed signifigantly from HC -> ICS due to goog making major improvements to it.

More importantly: installing ICS is a ONE WAY TRIP, there (currently) is no instructions to return if you decide you cant like it.
If anything it should be MORE difficult to install as you wont be able to go back and you need to seriously consider if it's worth it.

I rely a lot on Steve's guidance, and I'm constantly looking for other dev's to help out. I've got one new dev on board and snarg has been helping a lot recently.

These things take time, especially with no help from the manufacture or core processor manufacture.

Please exclude me from Slick's comments and sense of entitlement.

As a non dev, and hardly a noob, who owns the DS7 and checks these threads on a regular basis, I think its discouraging for the devs and the noobs alike to read CRAP like Slick's response to a fellow user who chooses to reply to a redundant question and attempt at being helpful.

If you got questions and want to be disrespectful... go call DELL and see how many of your answers return the type of results your looking for!

I for one appreciate the few devs we've got, appreciate their time and efforts, and like any typical forum user should, rely on the input and shared user experience from my fellow members. Don't ask general questions if you aren't going to be able to accept an answer that may not satisfy you're trolling!

K. Done. ;)

Well, that's something I never heard of before. You mean if one was on a another custom ROM that was NVflashed, you can't NVflash back to it? I thought that NVflash was a complete wipe. I was under the impression that there always was a path back but it may not be a simple one.

I think this new fact needs a further detailed explaination as this might keep many from even trying it.

Rereading, you say, "no instructions" and not "no way" back.

The main reason I say one way trip is that there's no nvflash payload to return to stock.
You can flash towards HS or ICS, but not stock.

I dont recall the other stock nvflash dumps being fully complete,
you cant simply flash a partial nvflash payload and expect to be able to return to stock.

Currently your only reliable method of removing ICS is to migrate to HS,
you might be able to manually migrate to stock if you did your homework.

I'll be making instructions to return to stock soon enough.

If I flashed ICS, I could easily return to stock because I have a lot more resources at my disposal due to my previous relationship with steve, but neither of us have formally released a set of instructions to return to the stock layout.

At least on this subject, I cant say with 100% certianty as I have yet to install ICS.
If anyone can personally vouch that they were able to sucessfully return to stock from having installed ICS without having to make any real changes to the nvflash payload they used, feel free to state that fact.

Regardless I hope to have instructions made to return back to stock by the end of may (but no promises)
