yeah you can flash any partition ...if you have S-OFF but not HBOOT and firmware
the only way you can update HBOOT and firmware is via PG58IMG.zip or Running RUU
those two are pretty low level that they can be updated only in limited ways...

also you can't change the type of a file by just changing its extension...so .nb0 to .img wont make a image file

Hey guys, I'm in need to some assistance.
I'm trying to get into app building and rom cooking. I have installed Eclipse with ADT, Android SDK, AVM setup (dunno if correctly but it works).
That's what I have so far.
Currently I'm an avid PHP developer, and I'm comfortable with Javascript. I know not at all related to what is needed to make apps/roms.
I'm just trying to work my way thru Android's initial Hello World app: http://developer.android.com/resourc...llo-world.html
and I did everything they said, and I'm getting a missing Launcher error. I google it, and I need to add some XML to manifest.xml. I did that and it screwed it up even more.
I'm just planning on learning java by working on apps and roms for Android. Can anybody provide some tips on Eclipse?
Being a PHP guy, I love Notepad++ and would prefer it. But I've been told good things about Eclipse so I will venture that option as well.

Okay so here's an very easy one There is simply one question that I appearenty haven't understood yet.

What would be smartest to do if I want to have a rooted Sensation w ICS in the end, that I am able to try custom roms out on, like ICS-ARHD?

Currently I am still 100% stock on last official GB, and Im appearantly not able to do S-off with Revolutionary...

Is it possible to do S-Off, Recovery and Root a 100% stock Sensation on last the officially released ICS? If yes, would you please point me in the direction to how? I am able to OTA update to latest released ICS..

Yes Im a noob but I have read some guides though
HBoot is 1.18.0000 and my Sensation is running with official HTC Andorid 2.3.4 - 100% stock Asia version!.. Uh and does SuperCID make it possible to install european roms? Does it affect installing ARHD etc? (Im not SuperCID yet)

Mate YES iit is Possible to S-OFF your Seny( as long as you are on GB)
Follow this tutorial TO THE LETTER (HERE)

As soon as you obtain S-OFF rest is easy...
With SuperCID you will be able to flash ANY ROM ...Europian , American, Asian ...
ARHD doesent mind are you supercid or not

Hi,

If you are hboot 1.18.0000,then you should be able to s-off,root,add recovery(5.0.2.0),and SuperCID with revolutionary using either of the threads HERE or HERE

Then it is a fairly simple process to upgrade from GB to ICS following THIS THREAD
Read it carefully,then read it again.
There are quite a few processes going on here.
Be patient, read carefully,and you should be OK.

Any problems,and you should get an answer on this thread.

Hi! if your hboot version is 1.18 is 100% compatible with revolutionary method. You can do S-OFF, flash firmware, custom recovery and ARHD the easy way. Follow this guide and you won't have any problem. If you need further support you can post here or in the guide thread and you shall receive.
