You are still s-on, so, you cannot flash firmware.
Go to the second post, guide 3 by Kgs.
S-off is your first challenge.
Then, you will need guide 12 for the firmware stage.

No I was not S-On, but thanks for your help anyways, currently I am :

I was gonna revert to my stock Gingerbread 2.3.4, I was trying to achieve ICS 4.x and Cyanogen mod 9, but I n00bed it up and wound up in a boot loop. I've read several different tutorials and I gathered I need to flash back to Stock GB. Do I just need a link to a Stock GB that fits my CID?

CID = T-MOB010
No Super CID
No RUU

Is there anyway to flash just the stock H-Boot version on a t-mobile htc sensation? Im currently on HBOOT version-1.23.0000 with S-on with stock android 2.3.4.... I guess i did a bad S-on and i havent bin able to do anything with my phone software wise.. It does work but i have not bin able to update the phone or use revolutionary to gain S-off again .. Please help...

Try using the method on http://unlimited.io to obtain S-OFF.
If that fails then try to flash the 3.32 Tmous RUU available on either Football's shipped ROM collection thread or in a thread by steve0007.
Because you are currently S-ON you cant just flash a hboot (at least I dont think you can) so you either need to S-OFF or flash an RUU

Finaly had time to try this out, but unfortunately it hasn't fixed the problem. The friends HTC One that was tested on is completely standard, so the theory was definately sound. Any other ideas, or could I be looking at some kind if hardware fault (ie, dodgy headphone jack)?

Make sure /system is mounted as writable on es file explorer under: menu>settings and tick "Root explorer" and "mount file system" then try to rename the file again

EDIT: Public announcement solid explorer beta2 is probably the best file explorer for android out there. Give it a go if you want
