Default [ROM][GSM][AOSP 4.0.3] Hardmilk ROM

Hardmilk ROM has been built by myself with a few modifications/tweaks added to tune it to just how I want! It's my own daily driver, and as such, I'm not going to be putting in features/mods which I won't use or need, so it should remain pretty clean in that respect! I know there are already a good amount of ROM's available which are built from AOSP, but I just thought I'd share, even if it's not bringing anything "new" to the scene, it may still appeal to someone who wants something not overly-modified.

Changelog on Post 2

[disclaimer]
I'm trying to keep this as close to the original AOSP sources as possible, so I've forked directly from Google on all sections of the ROM, but there are a few repositories which I've forked from other projects (unavoidable really and I appreciate the dev's mentioned in the credits for sharing)

Other than that, all other modifications to the source I've done myself, based on tips/tricks obtained from here on XDA Devs, so I shall also credit those responsible for the inspiration/tutorials!
[/disclaimer]

The following screenshots are from how my phone is currently set up in regards to Launcher layout, so a new installation will have a different icon layout and default background image

Features
  • Built directly from Google's AOSP Sources (Master Branch)
  • Facebook Contact Sync enabled
  • Modified standard theme (minimal modifications)
  • Latest Google Apps included
  • Rooted with SU and SuperUser both built from source
  • Unsecure Boot (adb remount support)
  • Some other bits & bobs

Credits
  • Google for sharing their AOSP Code
  • TeamKANG for sharing vendor_samsung repository on github
  • romanbb for his quick guide on sorting out Facebook sync
  • Peteralfonso for sharing his vendor layout on github
  • Cyanogenmod team for sharing there code which I was able to reference to for adding a few modifications to my sources to get it to build right.
  • All those other people on xda-developers, who over time have shared tips&tricks to make this all possible

Installation Instructions
As with any other ROM install, if you are coming from something else, PLEASE perform a full wipe prior to installing!

Also, make a Nandroid Backup of your current ROM incase you decide to go back/or are updating between versions of Hardmilk upon release!

Requirements
  • Radio: XXKK6 or later
  • Bootloader: Maguro-PRIME-KL01

Good Job! Great Rom!
Tested it & it ran smoothly!
If it had the toggles in the in the pull down bar then I'd be sold! I've just gotten so used to having toggles there.
