Default need full US yp-g1 restore

a few days ago i flashed Steves kernel for the us yp-g1 and everything was fine until i went into cm recovery, after that i got stuck in a boot-loop. i accidentally flashed a Korean rom trying to get out of the loop. from there the power button and capacitive buttons became useless, and was not able to get to download mode to re-flash. i got a jig and now i am able to get back to download mode but the problem now is after flashing a us rom the touch screen and capacitive buttons will not respond. I'm not sure of this but i thing the Korean rom overwrote the code for the hardware to know how to use the touchscreen, power button and capacitive buttons and when i flashed back to the us rom it never fixed the instructions.
can some please give me a direction to take this so i wont be left with a $220 brick?

My guess is that for some reason, you flashed a US ROM but not a kernel.
*so much sig updating needed*

An excellent post on "noobs vs. developers"

A few opinions on kernel development "good practices"

Don't know. Search on sammobile.

If you know someone with another YP-G1 US, a dd dump can be useful too.
Check out my custom kernel for YP-G70

I've tried that one already, when i flash it I'm not able to use the touch screen and capacitive buttons......

i unpacked the file and it had "factoryfs.rfs" and "zimage", i guess the zimage is the kernel....

i also unpacked the eu file and it had "boot.bin", "cache.rfs","dbdata.rfs", "factoryfs","param.lfs", "sbl.bin" and "zimage"

i did this so i could see the differences in the 2 files and its clear the us rom file is missing some that the other had.....i'm a little new at playing with android but i'm sure one of the files the US file is missing is having an impact on some of the hardware.........then again i could be wrong.

any thoughts?
