check your cpu settings under performance. change max speed to 1000.

if it's running at 1300, it's 300 over oem clock, and it's going to get a little hot. just the nature of overclocking.

No, i have not even rooted this phone yet. I have some knowledge of the procedure though as i did it on this phone once before ( older one as this is a replacement phone ) . I am trying to find the easiest way to root and unlock the bootloader. I feel like waiting until q3 will be to long as i plan on getting a quad core phone to play with around that time. And we would have to wait for someone to find root again...and i can always go back to stock and get the ota update.

What kernel are people having a better experience with? The one that comes with beta 2.0 or faux 1.0 beta

pretty much my plan. I'm eligible for an upgrade, but nothing out right now is worth me getting locked down for another term. If i'm gonna upgrade from the atrix with cm9, I want to get something with a higher resolution display, quad core, and ICS out of the box.

I don't know if this helps at all.
The transformer Tf101 has an official ICS release now (in taiwan). US release should happen tomorrow.

The Atrix uses the Tegra 250 AP20H while the TF101 uses a Tegra 250 T20. In terms of specs the differing Tegra 2 chips are almost identical...

It doesn't help. It was explained many times in this thread. For me it makes sense that chips are identical but developers say NO
