Hi,

You need only once and always follow the dev Unlock / eXit

When receiving an update check if an HTC update is displayed

If not then its ok to update, although not all hTC updates change the bootloader

Can you specify the firmware version before HSPL installation?

Hello Ansar, thanks for your fast reply!
Unfortunately I can't remember the firmware version, but I can tell you that in 12/2011 I could perform my phone update through Zune to 7740
(don't know if microsoft and/or htc).
When I installed your NewTech ROM first time, unfortunately I updated via Zune to 7740, that means that there still was present this update.
And before trying to install again HSPL and NewTech, some days later Zune found 8107 update...
Since I was looking to have a fully unlocked device, I tried again the steps in your first post....
At the end I successfully updated offline my device (from 7720 to 7740 and from 7740 to 8107) following Heathcliff74's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1306415
I had only to download choice dos command because it's not present in XP and refined a little bit WP7 Update Cab Sender batch file.

See my google translated manual here http://translate.google.cz/translate...brickCesky.htm . If you lost last tricolore line only ("small" halfbrick), you can use "simplified" Y-cable solution (it is easy, not necessary to read CID or make cable yourself, if you want to flash official SPL). I you lost all lines instead first one, you must use Zune backup and U2Mxxxx application first to get some part of SPL 5.xx as part of official update before Y-cable using (to be able force USB Host GoldCard mode), or try OEM cab sending. Without Zune backup it is much more dificult, but, I hope, you have got "small" halfbrick only.

Thanks a lot for this continuous help Ansar, really!
I've done it through a Y cable half an hour ago.

I just got the CID of the card in windows explorer, by this way: right click disk name, click 'properties', the click 'hardware' tab, double click the disk name again, then in 'detailed information' tab, I found the CID through the dropdown menu. Copied the CID by right click. This CID, need some adjustment: delete the '{', '-' and '}' symbol and replace the first two letters with '00' zero zero. Then at this site, http://psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcard, I got the goldcard.img file, use this file in Gold Card Tool 0.0.5 program to generate the gold card. I used your released Europe stock rom, RUU_Gold_HTC_Europe_1.22.401.01_Radio_5.63.09.13_3 a_22.36.50.15U_by_ansar, copied the ruu_signed.nbh to the card and renamed it to GOLDIMG.nbh.

Windows 7 Professional with SP1. Thanks.
Edit: If I am not wrong, CID can also get in Windows XP, in the Hardware Manager, in hardware properties info.

Unhappy Connection setup starting each time

Hello everybody
Each time I turn on my phone, after a while the Connection setup starts...
I tried following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1271963 by Heathcliff74, but it's still doing it...
Is there anyone else experiencing this?
