Can someone help me...please!

I'm now on a Vivid...and I am trying to theme this myself. I am trying to change the phone icon for the app tray, which in turn becomes the desktop and lockring icon.

I have tried by changing the following:
In the HtcDialer.apk: dialer.png
In the Phone.apk: dialer.png, ic_launcher_phone.png
Neither of those worked…
I then tried changing common_icon_phone_on.png and common_icon_overlay_phone.png in the com.htc.resources.apk…and that didn’t work either.
Is it not as easy as changing an icon? If so...where is that sucker!!??

EDIT: To get the blue for now on the phone icon, I'm using Desktop Visualizer...I would really like it blue in the app drawer though! OCD...

I just flash back coredroid Rom so its normal now.. I've been flashing to test here n there n my phone goes haywire haha..

I did changed it before.. let me check when I get my pc ok.. can't recall.. but its in phone.apk I think..

I know man I did a ics theme compiling a few of the best tweaks in one but was when I was with miki rom. And I flashed a a2sd mod and it deleted 2600 fotos I had over a period of five year with my sd. Thank God, I placed the mayority on my pc
