Thanks for the app! It works great on my HD7 with nextgen v2.3 rom. I put on my wife's interop-unlocked samsung focus and it has a few problems. When I try to connect to skydrive it crashes. It also disables the data connection. I then have to get into the registry to fix this.

Samsung gen2: Won't work. The gen2 drivers have some limitation and can't currently be used for homebrew.
LG: Won't work. The LG provxml driver cant be used for FileOperation.
HTC gen1 no updates (or "fully unlocked" custom ROM): Should work.
HTC gen1 with some updates: Might work, may depend on how the provxml is built.
HTC gen1 with full updates: Won't work.

HTC gen2, Dell, Nokia, and Toshiba/Fujitsu won't be supported until we have interop-unlock, at the earliest.

Thanks. Very clear now, thus LG won't work currently...

The "CommsBackup.xml" is only an exported file by Windows Phone, the SMS actually stored in "\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Stores\DeviceStore\store.vo l". Now we can backup store.vol and if we can put it back later, then we can restore our SMS, contacts, etc. But I'm not trying now because there exist possible risks...

There are some user with the same problem when trying to login or upload to SkyDrive while some others do not have this problem, very strange indeed. I don't know if there are some compatibility issues in Live SDK. I'll do more research.

Question How to import the SMS to new fresh ROM
How to import the SMS to new fresh ROM ?
Do I have to copy "CommsBackup.xml" to folder \applications\Data\09125EA9***\Data\IsolatedStore\ Backup" and then it automatically import the old SMS ?

The only way to have your sms messages back on your phone after flashing a new rom is re-install smsbackup as it was before flashing (use Windowsphone Power tool to re-insert sms.xml in isostore -no particular folder- and then when opening the app you'll see all old texts, new sms will be added in that file so you can't lose any words!)

Hey, good job! App works like a charm, especially the SkyDrive integration.

In fact, I made a quick video tutorial of it, in case anyone's curious on the SkyDrive / isolated storage process:

So put it to folder \applications\Data\09125EA9***\Data\IsolatedStore ?

You ment "sms.xml" or "CommsBackup.xml"?

Thanks.

doesn't install

Error deploying to the device. It seems to be a licensing problem with the application.
