No, you can't do that. You would have to find a kernel that does both.

i flash d latest clockworkmod touch recovery..
bt whenver i m trying to reboot into recovery...a dead android icon is displayed and then screen goes black and the phone is stuck thre....
then i hv to remove the battery and insert again to strt the phone.
so m unable to reboot into recovery..
what should i do...

m having nexus s i9023(rooted) with stock kernel

Hmm, I also have i9023 and the latest cwm touch (5.8.0.2) works perfectly. Try 5.0.2.0, the non-touch version, that was great.
