Default HID Bluetooth Pairing number not showing

I just purchased a bluetooth keyboard and my Tab 7+ will not pair with it!

The tab sees the keyboard and when I hit "pair with this device" it appears they are communicating (the light on the keyboard stays lit). Then after about 30 seconds the Tab comes back with the message "There was a problem pairing with Bluetooth Keyboard".

When I pair this keyboard with my Samsung Charge phone it asks me to type in a PIN on the keyboard which I do and then it pairs just fine.

I think the Tab is also asking for a PIN since I've tried just entering 000000 on the keyboard and then it rejects the pairing right away. The Tab just isn't showing what PIN it wants me to type.

Is there a standard set of PINS that are used for bluetooth pairing? Any suggestions?

Your help is appreciated!
