[Q] Rooting method

Does it matter which method I used to root my phone? I used Petes one click, but everyone is suggesting zergrush. I'm on 2.3.3, if it's relevant.
Also, does stock 2.3.3 mea it is not rooted?

If you have root in the end, you're good to go. Root is root, regardless of how you go about getting it. FWIW, I use Pete's all the time. Only time Zergrush might be necessary is if you're on 2.3.5. Pete's won't work on that.

Thanks, I was wondering. Now to sbf to 2.3.4 and wait for the final release of cyanogenmod!

zergrush wont work

im on 2.3.5 and zergrush wont work for my phone i followed all instructions please help

I think there may have been issues rooting certain versions of 2.3.5. 412 is known to work using zerg rush.

I have a 7 yr old laptop + W7 and cannot get ZR to work. I use Petes on 234 and voodoo RK on the flashable otas. To prevent eclipse from bombing just delete the incompatible suBU b4 flashing it or other roms.

i have the 412 build everytime i tun it it say adb or whatever it is is outdated killing then zergrush started succesfully. It says that for every operation it runs and says failed to install super user and all that stuff. I dont get it. I think i have all the latest drivers installed. Do I have to sbf and start over again?

yes. root 234 (not 235) then voodoo.
