what makes the personalize to stop working when trying to install a widget? never did this on 2.3 ?

Its a program you have installed that doesn't agree with ics. You need to find the program and delete it. That's what I did to fix that problem.

That's kind of funny that the tweaks give you the option to hide all this: "hide specific notifications icons: alarm/gps/bluetooth/wifi/data/headset/volume" but then leaves you stuck with the location enabled icon

Yeah, PM me. I dont want to tun this into a smali thread. I can give you the actual file because its not modified in any other way there for I dont consider it proprietary.

I still cannot get one error adding a widget any way I add it.

For me it was Audio Manager Pro. Once I uninstalled it I was able to add widgets. Before that though, the personalize process would crash.

Thanks. That sounds like an app issue to me. You should contact the dev and see what he / she says. I would be curious if you could post the response?

im having a hell of a time trying to find which app it is its weird bc i never had any problems on 2.3
