Sorry to seem like a twat, but it would be great if you could put up some screenshots in the OP.

For those new to flashing (and as a reminder for those experienced as well): Remember to do a Nandroid backup, as well as a backup of your /EFS partition before flashing anything (ROMs, kernels, whatever)!
Personally, I use an app called Nitrality to do it for me. It's pretty handy, but requires ROOT access.
Clearing your caches after flashing is usually a good practice. It worked for me when I flashed the BCK kernel and ran into a few problems with it.
