u can install a custom rom (like giopro 1.4) and then install a app like setcpu or no-frills cpu control and then u can overclock the gio to max 1,037 GHz, but 921MHz works stable (for me)

OC capabilities depends on kernel.
my Gio was working stable up to ~940MHz, remember to choose governor.

it's already overclocked when you get it! (originally 600mhz iirc)

mine is only stable at 825, anything above that restarts my device

It can only on custom rom, most are already rooted and have custom kernel..
Then install cpu app and overclock to your liking
