Question [Q] Auto-hide the "system tray"?

I'm on a stock A100 and would love to hide the system tray on the bottom of the screen when I watch full-screen movies. Does anyone know of a way to auto-hide it like you can do with Windows on a PC and then pull it up with a swipe up from the bottom of the screen?

Unfortunately you have to root to do this. Check in the development section how to root. Its quite easy. Also to hide system tray you can also use hidebar which is free. I've been using it for a while now.

Honeybar used to cause lag but hopefully they've fixed it.

Done and done. Rooting couldn't have been much easier. And the HideBar is exactly what I was looking for. If he could add the option to unhide it with a swipe, it would be *perfect*. Much thanks...

+1 on hidebar. Honeybar the button placement is annoying.

Honeybar made my home screens lag like crazy. I'll try hidebar.

Edit- hidebar isn't on my market

Edit 2- hidebar just force closes... didn't work at all.

Hidebar works fine on my A100. It take about 5 seconds from the time I tell it to hide until the status bar actually disappears, but that is the only issue I have with it.

I might be missing sommething here but, I can't get the system bar back after hidding it with hidebar... tried doing a swipe from side to side, bottom to top and top to bottom, on both orientations, any ideas?

edit: nevermind you have to run and select the show method at least once
