Question HTC Aria Successor

Hello,
since the trend in smartphone development aims at huge screens and extreme processor speeds I was wondering if anybody heard about possible Aria successors, that would be handy phones with decent specs.

I would love to see a new Aria, with a dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, a thinner bezel (like the Galaxy Nexus) but the same or just slightly bigger dimensions as the Aria.

Any rumors?
I fear that this is just wishful thinking, but one can still dream XD

Unfortunately, I've been hunting for this for about 6 months. No alpha products, previews, or reviews I could find...

Looks like you'll have to upgrade to something bulkier =(

Dang.
Well there is no rush for me to decide. I got rid of any kind of cellphone plans and buy my new phones when I can't stand the old ones anymore
With CM7 and some tweaking I can still love my Aria for a while.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus would be ok if only it had more RAM and Android 4.0. Too bad...

Sony has some small phones that looks decent. But they still have the physical buttons

This is my new hobby, creating HTC Aria 2 fakes. If only I could print them out with a 3D printer...

Would you maybe like one with a front cam and two LEDs integrated into the classic speaker? Or a green one with trackball?

I loved my Aria. The weight was ideal but I had to have a bigger screen. It seems that the general trend nowadays it to get bigger and better. My example to this would be the Samsung Galaxy Note. The only carrier I know of that still has phones (new phones I might add) is SouthernLinc Wireless. Not to come off as advertisement but we just got a Motorola i867. 3.1" screen. Runs Eclair.

I really do wish that they would have an Aria 2. I agree with you. If they removed most of the bezel it would be a great phone. I still have mine even though I have since had a Captivate and now the Galaxy S II.

I am curious if some nice mid-range phones pop up at MWC next week.

Doubt there will be any successor to the Aria.

That may be true, but at least there's something close: http://pockethacks.com/the-htc-golf-...d-on-a-budget/.
