Definitely kernel related, the best kernels to test is faux or show-p

well faux kernel seems unstable, he doesn't have the device to test yet
i tried franco r4, the situation is a lot better since its snaps from low to full in an instant (reduced latency) but still i found locking the clocks gives better results
with franco r4 we still have the stock performance governor bug in which it locks to 1400mhz dual core mode
Test kholks, or tripnravers, also its best not to base that it will be unstable for you cause its unstable for some people unless everyone says its unstable cause, there are 3 variations of t3 soc in one x afaik
I can dev a kernel where it doesnt lock, i know a way to do it , but im really busy atm, im sure someone else has achieved it, are you sure it locks? And isnt being throttled due to high heat?

no no it simply locks to 1400mhz 2 cores, when you go to glowball it sticks to this mod and lags, switching to undemand unlocks quad core again in glowball
three t3 variations?! :|
update: both faux and bricked are behaving as bad as the stock, OnDemand remaining at low clocks in s4e2 and performance locking to 2 cores in performance gov
so far the only kernel that made a clear difference is Franco r4 due to the way it instantly locks to high clocks, ill ask him to fix the performance governor
keep in mind all the customs kernels are based on the older kernel source, the stock kernel we have in 1.29.401.11 is newer and dealt with back-light flicker issues

Yeaup 3
Id recommend testing tripnravers if its kernel related his should definitley fix it, grab it from his rom, if it works good then thatll be great but ofcourse dnt release here on xda, he did say no ones allowed to distribute his work on xda

Awsome flickering was bad coding lol

Faux and Eternity project are behaving like stock too
ill either stick to Franco's or manually setting the minimum clock in stock kernel
I declare Franco kernel as the best kernel for gaming its the only one ramping up beyond 1ghz in Sonic 4 Episode 2 and using three cores, it also snaps instantly between clocks
still if you want to be sure of locked gaming performance, best to ramp up the minium clock to 1200mhz
