If you could set the max cpu limit on the fly with say hold home button and volume rocker with an on screen notification would be the business.

Hi there!

Not sure it was posted before but heat is reducing the performance of the phone. Today after charging my phone was quiet hot when I ran the quadrant benchmark it came 3644 I was wondering. So decided to keep the phone in idle for some time to cool it off then ran the score came out 4623. Seems like overheat maybe reducing the clock speed or something.

now that we have photos of both panels, the whiter panel does indeed have a more visible pixel pattern, the pixel lines alternate in brightness creating a sort of fainted scanlines effect, I wonder if this can b fixed in software

its clearly the reason for the extra brightness on the white panel, instead of giving all brightness to all the pixels, they alternate the brightness between pixel rows, impressive idea but they should allow user control
Hmm, I read your post, I don't think they alternated the brightness in the display, because this is an LCD panel. It wouldn't be useful at all because they're still using the same backlight, unlike an OLED where they can truly turn a pixel off.

My guess is they arranged the subpixels differently.

yes I'm thinking the same

we know we have two panels, one of them with smaller green pixel but I'm sure it won't make much difference

if you look at the pixel arrangement we see the v shape where the pixel raws alternate in direction im guessing for view angles this is the most likely reason but it would mean both panels should have the same behavior

maybe the darker nature of the warm panel and smaller green pixel is contributing to the sharper look

Sonic 4 Episode 2: Tegra vs Non Tegra

Quote:
Benefits of Tegra 3
  • The Tegra 3 version of Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode II is the most technically advanced mobile version of the game, a near mirror-image of the full-blown PS3 and Xbox versions of the game.
  • In fact, by enjoying a game with a gamepad (either with wired or Bluetooth controllers) and outputting the device to an television via HDMI, it’s the CLOSEST to the actual console experience you’ll get on a mobile device…. All with fast frame rates.
  • Sonic on Tegra 3 has dramatically higher quality textures, better lighting and glow effects, and objects on screen that are absent from other mobile versions.
Quote:
Features:
  • The ONLY console-quality version experience of Sonic 4 Episode II for mobile devices.
  • High resolution textures, geometry, environment detail, and shader effects.
"The biggest difference between Sonic 4 Episode II on Tegra 3 versus the other mobile platforms is content. Tegra 3 is the only mobile chipset that allows us to use all of the shader and lighting effects from the console version at a fast framerate."

Honestly this is the most impressive thing i ever saw on a handheld, some of the models n boss battles looks almost CG, running tegra stats with this game, you see the quads are not even being pushed

and before you screen frame rates check this
