I don't understand why HTC don't use metal shell for their very high end devices
Between the one X and the one S, each have their advantages...
One S:
-Thinner
-Cheaper
-Amoled screen
-MSM8960
-metal shell
One X:
-Tegra 3
-4.7' screen
-720p
-Maybe a bigger community?
Is the One X really better than the One S?
BTW, the One V, the low-end device will also have android 4.0+sense 4, and his features are very similar to our DHD.
WVGA screen, single core processor etc.
It will may be a good thing for sense 4 port, but we have to be sure first that sense 4 is complete on this low end device...

That is excellent .
I'm glad HTC are still releasing WVGA. If our official Update is only sense 3.6, we can use a port from this phone and get the lovely New Sense 4.0
good work HTC, you made a hero but then split it in two, new policy is destined to fail
i don't see a hero here, i see further marketing influence and cost cutting measures
just like Enterprise-D said, both phones have desirable features, they did it again split their portfolio and their consumers' minds, the X beats the S in a major important thing the HD screen and aspect ratio!
Hell these makes me really appreciate the Sensation and EVO3D, @DexterMorganNL yes its not full unibody but both Sensation and EVO3d screammmmmmmm high end, they look and feel like rolex watches (i have the sensation and my cous the EVO) a lot more refined than DHD, Sensation XL not bad either
They need a device that combines the best both the S and X then they have a hero device and then this lineup would make sense, otherwise fail....
i don't care about the CPU they have the best two right now, S4 dual and T3 are comparable and each has its own benefits, dismissing the T3 means you guys bought the Qualcomm BS, yes it beats in single but it won't beat it in real world multithreading
Unless the Tegra 3 sips battery then the 1800mah battery in the One X will die pretty quick, why they are making the battery non replaceable is beyond me. If they think going the iPhone route with non removable storage and batteries is the best they need to rethink what makes them more flexible and better. Although providing a phone with nearly everything you want and a few easily avoided disappointing factors is an apple trait
If the One S has a removable battery I'll be going for that, having 2 batteries just makes sense now with how fast these phones drain batteries

The HTC Evo3D is being sold at low price now, € 289 in MediaMarkt germany. I was first considering upgrading to the Evo3D, but Evo3D also has no unibody, but it is indeed an high end phone, but so is our DHD, even though we just have a single core cpu.

mate its not unibody but heavier on metal than the Sensation lol, the device is a work of art, i never saw and apparently will never see a smartphone as fancy, nevermind the online photos
once you hold it in your hand your realize the damn thing is made of full metal, its just painted black, its 170g! so yea its rigid and thick, the premium plastic ridged back is a plus, it enhances the grip but encircles the camera metalic frame and sexy glass, also the black metallic frame extendes to the back where it has the camera shutter and switch buttons, they are made from heavy grade brushed metal, power and volume rocker are black brushed metal
im telling you the thing is amazing to hold and macho
Hi, I never participated in this forum before or this thread , but why are judging a phone few hour before announcement , how are you sure this specs are real or even the photo ( talking about the one x ) , how do you know it will have a non replaceable battery , and a crappy plastic case did anyone Holt it in his hand, what I know that HTC is coming with. Something big that willn't fail us, something else is SCL 2 a bad screen , even if it is bad screen with 720p screen it will a win.
I have question was SCL 2 had been used on any of the older HTC or any phone
